Dynamic book. Perfect for a daily devotion.

I think this is an excellent book. I look forward to reading a couple of pages of this book each morning. "His Princess Warrior" is written in a two part format. The first page talks about one's position as a daughter of the King - hence the "Princess" part of the title. This is followed by a picture and a scripture verse connected to the message. The next page is a prayer that challenges or encourages one to go and do a specific task that God has designed for each of his children - hence the "Warrior" part. Again, this page is followed by a picture and relevant verse. I love the balance between knowing who we are and then going wherever God is sending us.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about following Christ. Without the regular reminder of who our Father is and who we are, the task can become overwhelming. But, coupled with the knowledge of God's love for us we can attack the strongholds of the enemy that we encounter every day.

Encouraging, strengthening, God really uses this!

Wow...when I saw this in a brick and mortar store, my fiance said it was probably cheaper online, so we checked Amazon. Definitely less expensive! This book would have been worth the extra price though. The verses, letters, and prayers for each day really help and encourage me. God has used this book in my life. The devotions on faith, trust, strength, fear, love, and laying down the things you love, giving them back to God, to Whom they ultimately belong anyway, have really stepped on my toes and been used to convict and comfort me. Definitely worth every penny.

Born in South Carolina, Johnson moved to New York as a teenager to live with his uncle, working as a hotel porter, cook, and stevedore -- and earning admission to the School of the National Academy of Design, where he won almost every student prize available. About the Author
Cheol S. Eun (Ph.D., NYU, 1981) is a professor of finance and currently holds the Thomas R. Williams Chair in International Finance at Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Georgia Tech, he taught at Kent State University, University of Minnesota, and the University of Maryland, and at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has published extensively on international finance issues in such major journals as the Journal of Finance, JFQA, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Management Science, and Oxford Economic Papers. Currently he is an associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance, Global Finance Journal, European Financial Management. Professor Eun has taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels and was the winner of the Krowe Teaching Excellence Award at the University of Maryland and has served as a consultant to many national and international organizations.

Bruce G. Resnick (D.B.A. Indiana, 1979) is a professor of management at the Babcock Graduate School of Management of Wake Forest University. Prior to coming to the Babcock School, he taught at Indiana University for ten years, the University of Minnesota for five years, and California State University for two years. Professor Resnick has also taught as a visiting professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and at the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. Like Professor Eun, he has had research articles published in the most prestigious academic journals, and he has served as a consultant to a number of nonprofit and for-profit organizations in the selection of investment managers for organizational funds

Great book

I must say that dealing with International Exchange Rates at such an advanced level is a great experience for me, the author was very informative and comprehensive, I read it and immediately understand how these rates is applied. My best Chapter so far was Chapter 9 I am in my 14th Chapter and I am clearly understanding the instruments and issues. Again this book is recommended.

Two much "double dipping" to rate 5 stars

This is a 128 page, 8" x 11-1/2", square bound card cover. It is number 9 in AJ Press' Modelmania series. It is dual language, English and Polish. The English is serviceable but not outstanding. Color is used throughout. A sheet of decals in the three common scales is included. If buying secondhand ask if they are included if these are important to you.

The book is divided up as follows. The first 25 pages are a design and development history. The next 31 pages consist of 1/48th and 1/72nd scale drawings. There then follows 22 pages of color profiles including a two page spread showing decal placement. Then there are 33 pages of color photographs and technical manual drawings. The photos are of surviving examples and include many detailed close up shots. The book finishes up with 17 pages describing and reviewing the 1/32nd Trumpeter F4U-4 and the 1/48th Tamiya F4U-1 kits.

All is first rate. The only caveat is that much of the material is lifted directly from the same publisher's Aircraft Monograph 10 F4U Corsair title (and its Polish equivalent). Only the last two sections contain completely new material. The 1/72nd scale drawings are unique to this volume.

In sum, the general enthusiast would probably be happier with the earlier Aircraft Monograph 10 volume but the close up photos will be missed. The modeller might have other priorities.

Only, as she gets to know Beast, she develops an attraction to him. Later, Beauty discovers that she and Beast can take pleasure in each other's company in more ways than she'd ever imagined.

They're called Romance:Trysts because despite their shortness, there's a touch of romance in eachthat should you make smile (after you catch your breath from the steamy lovescenes).

Depite this book has a lot of years, the basic principles have not changed and I find this book very instructive to learn things as types of noise, crosstalk, radiation, grounding and shielding techniques or cabling. Henry W. Ott and his book, are a reference in the world about noise control and EMC concepts.

Written in easy way to understand, with very little equations, I suggest that if you want to have a copy of one of the most famous books on this science, buy it

Excellent book

Very good book, with little equations and down to Earth comments about issues EMC. Problem is that the book is from 1988 and all the initial discussion about FCC regulations is a bit outdated. Nevertheless it is a very good reference and I am glad I have it. Btw, I bought mine through one of Amazon's resellers so I dont have the pretty cover. I am not done reading it all but I am almost 1/2 way in and the material is very good.

About the Author
Scott Turow is a writer and attorney. He is the author of seven best-selling novels: Presumed Innocent (1987), The Burden of Proof (1990), Pleading Guilty (1993), The Laws of Our Fathers (1996), Personal Injuries (1999), Reversible Errors (2002) and Ordinary Heroes (2005). A novella, Limitations, was published as a paperback original in November 2006 by Picador following its serialization in The New York Times Magazine. His works of non-fiction include One L (1977) about his experience as a law student, and Ultimate Punishment (2003), a reflection on the death penalty. He frequently contributes essays and op-ed pieces to publications such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Playboy and The Atlantic. Mr. Turow's books have won a number of literary awards, including the Heartland Prize in 2003 for Reversible Errors and the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award in 2004 for Ultimate Punishment and Time Magazine's Best Work of Fiction, 1999 for Personal Injuries. His books have been translated into more than 25 languages, sold more than 25 million copies world-wide and have been adapted into one full length film and two television miniseries.

Great and insightful read.

Great book! I found myself sitting in Scott Turow's shoes feeling the emotional, and often literal, ebbs and flows he experienced during his first year at Harvard Law School. This book reads like a fiction novel but the fact that it is non-fiction makes it an even better read and has helped me mentally prepare for the infamous "One L". I'm glad I bought this book and recommend it to any potential law student wanting to get an idea of what One L is like.

Incredible story of an incredible experience! Very thoughtful and thought provoking.
Nursing education at the 'biggest and best' Universities is similar - they have no interest in training or educating nurses. Their goal is to produce Professors.

Very enjoyable trip through Harvard Law School

Having been through law school (though not Harvard), I found that Turow's book was a pretty good description of what law school is like. I think he gives adequate warning that his experience might be different than the average students (and I don't think most students are that excitable), and overall it was a very enjoyable read.

Things have changed too since the 1970s (when Turow was in school). Professors are not quite as harsh (though there are some that are) and the internet has changed legal research quite a bit. But overall, the book does a good job of capturing the anxiety and stress of the first year of law school. I enjoyed it.

Lectures on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics is an excellent text, because it is clearly written, easily readable, covers a lot of ground, and explains things intuitively.

After going through this book and looking at some other comparable titles, I have to come to the conclusion that this is an excellent text on the topic of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics. At 600 plus pages the book is quite long, but the sheer amount of material covered is simply astounding.

This book is well-organized and a good reference text. The book does not assume that the reader is familiar with the topic, but rather starts with the simplest solutions and builds from there. I felt the book is self-contained enough for readers who have not heard of the topic before to get a good idea of it.

There are a variety of well-designed problems that provide plenty of practice along with some that expand upon the original concepts, and the average difficulty generally seems about right for the target audience. The author goes to great lengths to make every concept clear to the reader.

This is a book for those who are interested in probability theory and want to gain a broader understanding of the subject matter. This book is well-organized and is one of the clearest and most readable books on the topic. This book is very full and is a very good resource on the topic.

Necessary and Sufficient.

Excellent, compact introduction to mathematical probability, distributions, and the algebra of random variables. Marco Taboga employs concise proofs and an enviable clarity to writing that surpasses many scientific authors on the topic.

If you need to learn probability for simulation, data science, etc., then start here.

After this I would head to the Springer series on statistics.
